New record at Walkathon in Copenhagen
Sunday the 31st of August, ECCO Walkathon celebrated its 10 years anniversary. More than 16,100 participants had decided to walk for charity.
All together the participants raised the highest donation ever in Copenhagen. The result was DKK 1.100.000 which will be shared by WWF, Street Kids International and the Danish Heart Foundation. What was especially heartening was the large donation provided via the kids treasure hunt. In total the kids raised DKK 137.500, which is DKK 112.500 more than in 2007.
The participants experienced Copenhagen from the sunny side. The nice weather created a high activity level in the newly established kids area, as many others lay in the grass and enjoyed the music from the main stage.
