First ECCO City Walkathon in Gothenburg
The first ever ECCO City Walkathon took place on Sunday, September 2 in Gothenburg. The participants raised SEK 200,000 which ECCO donated to WWF and Street Kids International’s projects in Kenya, Congo and Poland.
2,200 participants defied the morning rain and walked a route through central Gothenburg passing Slottsskogen and Avenyn. The participants in Gothenburg were very pleased with the event and how it was carried out. TV-host Harald Treutiger hosted the event, and Jan Guldbransen, Regional Director of ECCO Scandinavia handed over the checks to the charity organisations.
An ECCO City Walkathon hosts between 1,000 and 5,000 participants.
