Another premiere in 2008 is the ECCO Walkathon in Karlstad, Sweden. Karlstad, capital city of the province of Värmland, is beautifully situated in the delta of the Klarälven river on the northern shore of Lake Vänern. Start and finish will be centrally located on Soltorget, a little square on Drottninggatan. Scroll the page for more details.

Soltorget is a little square on Drottninggatan, the main shopping street in the heart of Karlstad. For the event, we'll set up a stage with lots of live music and entertainment. An exhibition will inform visitors about the charity projects carried out by Street Kids International and the WWF. In the morning, participants will register and receive their ECCO Walkathon kits on Soltorget. Food and drinks can be bought in nearby shops.
The walk starts and ends on Soltorget. The route takes us through the heart of Karlstad and along Klarälven river. The route is well-suited for prams and wheelchairs. Further details and a route map will be available on this page as soon as we have finished planning.
