Trek Detail

Passing through nine different biozones, the Salkantay Trek in south-central Peru follows an ancient Incan footpath over Mt. Salkantay, linking the city Cusco with Machu Picchu. From snowy mountain summits to steamy rainforest floors, the trail cuts through the Andean mountain range of Cordillera Vilcabamaba, challenging trekkers with a 15,000 ft ascent and varying terrain.
