I'm very disappointed with my purchase of Xpedition Hillwalking Boots, just over 2 months old and they're letting in water!!! I purchased them 10th April 2009. I'm not walking in extreem conditions just heavy wet (short) grass. Both boots are letting water in in different places. It's the tiniest seepage that happens over a period of time, but never the less very annoying to find wet feet at the end of a walk. This is my thrid pair of the same boot, the fit is very good and they are without a doubt a very comfortable boot, so I've been reluctant to change brands. With my first pair, I wasnt' aware of the lenght of time I enjoyed wet free feet, but the second pair I did pay attention. They lasted 6 months. Perhaps my previous pair weren't subjected to the very wet summer we are having and may have leaked earlier, who knows. Either way, I'm not happy, I paid €165 for these and I expect them to be able to handle wet grass and give me comfy DRY feet.

My Husband and myself purchased a pair of brashers hillmasters at the start of the summer and walked 40 miles+ and still had blisters so we were a bit nervous of going and buying another pair of expensive boots. However, we should not of worried ECCO live up to their reputation of out of the box comfort, We bought them in september and have walked in all sort of conditions and they are just fantastic. So much so we have bought a spare pair each incase they stop making them.
