    I have a little wider foot and find it hard to find a shoe that fits comfortably but these boots are excellent. I have worn them almost every day for several months now and they still look great and are one of the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They work well around town as well as for light hiking and it's nice to know that they are water proof and that the yak leather is much more durable than regular leather. These are well worth the price and I would certainly buy another pair. Great shoes!

    Got these boots 7 months ago and they get worn all day every 2-4 days (I rotate thru my boots so they have a chance to dry out- My feet sweat more than average). They were a replacement for my very loved Merrel Chameleons as I couldn't get another pairs of those in in time. They fit a little narrower compared to what I was used to (Merrells) but it was snug like a glove and felt very good under foot. These boots are very lightweight, agile and quickly become perseved as just an extension of your natural foot. They are made out of sturdy materials (Yak leather- I wonder what it smells like when it comes to Ecco???), and stitching is solid and the leather absorbs Grangers G-Wax quite well. The more treatments these boots get, the better at repelling snow and therefore water they are before any moisture gets to the Gore-Tex The Vibram sole is great- self cleaning, great all around traction, on the thinner side, but the extra sensitivity has been different, but I have REALLY appreciated a couple of times . I would recommend this as a very bomber approach shoe, one to wear on day hikes, but loaded up with a pack, these boots feel a little under built for that,. However I am 6'0" 200 lbs so they might work just fine for someone smaller then me. For a backpacking boot I would try to look for something with a little stiffer midsole. These boots fit my feet VERY,VERY WELL from the get go and then was almost no break in period- you know THOSE ones with blisters, pain, pussing, and oozing- yep none of that!! The only thing I wish this boot had, and I just think all footwear should have (well maybe not women's pointy toed stilettos, but you never know) is a durable Vibram XSV rand completely covering the toe and extending both medially and laterally around to the heel.     po półrocznym użytkowaniu butów ECCO XPEDITION YAK rozpruł się szew przy czubie buta łączący płaty skóry. szew ani przetarty, ani rozerwany, dwa ściegi po prostu wyszły na zewnątrz. sznurówki przecierają się regularnie. podczas chodzenia jest także wyczuwalna różnica w wewnętrznym wyprofilowaniu buta . co do wodoodporności nie mam zastrzeżeń (stosowałem regularnie impregnat w gąbce do nubuku na membranie).

    Bought the boots over 8 months ago and the only problem I have had is that at the end of the laces the outer covering separated from the inner after 5 months, apart from that the boots have proved to be excellent in all weather conditions including the recent snow and ice. My other pair of boots are the Ecco Schreckhorn which are a bit more solid and just as comfortable while suffering from the same lace problem. If Ecco provided a mail order laces service both pairs of boots would rate 5 stars.

    I bought this boots about month ago in the shop listed in the shop list on this site. After two (!!!!) days leather of orange inset broke on stitch. I changed them by guarantee . Today new pair broke on the same place.
