What opportunities do I have after finishing the training programme?

You will have remarkable opportunities for a career within the ECCO Group once you graduate from the EITE programme. It is our company intention to use and maximise your potential as a future specialist, leader or project manager.

At the end of the third year you may be offered a position within the ECCO group together with a career plan. ECCO traditionally recruits internally whenever possible.


What level of education is required?

You should not have a higher level of education than high school (handelsskole/gymnasium). People with bachelor/graduate/master degrees will not be accepted into the program. It is an advantage to have international experience from travelling, working abroad, language schools etc.


What will my financial situation be as an EITE trainee?

When you are expatriated your salary, insurance and housing will be paid by the sales or production units. Furthermore your flight costs in relation to woking assignments will be paid for while you are expatriated. Your salary will be paid by headquarters during your training period in Denmark. You will pay taxes in your expatriated country following the local rate. HQ will regulate the salary once a year based upon official guidelines.


What does the EITE trainee education consist of?

The EITE education is a three year trainee programme provided by ECCO Sko A/S. The EITE Programme combines the practical aspects of international business with a theoretical toolbox.
During your first year you will work with the entire workflow of the shoe production in one of our units in Europe or Asia. Second year you will work in-depth with one or more of the core business areas at ECCO headquarters in Denmark. In your third year you will work abroad in a different area of the business in one of ECCO's production or sales units.


What is expected from an EITE trainee?

To become an EITE Trainee you must be ambitious, hardworking, energetic and responsible. You must have a desire to travel, experience different cultures and be adventurous. We select our trainees first and foremost based upon their personality.


When does the EITE trainee education start?

You can apply for the EITE programme until the 15th of March. The trainee education will start in the beginning of August where approximately 10 trainees will be accepted to the programme. New trainees will spend their first month at ECCO headquarters in Denmark.
