I really like the boots but they are falling apart after four months. The laces are wearing out which is annoying but not a disaster. The big problem is the pieces of leather are separating just below the Yak logo. I can stick my finger through the holes. Both left and right boots are falling apart at the same rate. The color swoosh is worn out and re-stitching does not seem to be possible even in Vietnam where almost everything is re-cycled/repaired. So now I have a nifty, expensive pair of boots with holes on the sides.

Fantastically comfortable boots but the ecco after sales service is a disaster. My boots are less than six months old and the laces have fallen to pieces. Simple enough problem? I went back to the ecco store to purchase replacements and was advised that they could not be bought and that my best course of action would be to buy a new pair of boots and throw the (six months) old ones away!!!!!! It seems that this is a common practice as all the main shoe stockists in Dublin do not carry boot type laces. My recommendation is buy from here if you have loads of cash and don't mind throwing away perfectly good footwear after only six months or you don't mind tying your expensive (mine were €180) boots with old bits of string.
