   The shoe is very comfortable but the sole simply wears out after a few months and you are left with holes all over the sole. I spent a lot of money for comfort that only lasted a few months.

   Much the same commennt as made by Scott Herman. A comfortable shoe that is not tough enough to take ordinary walking use. The material used for the soles simply breaks up, making the value for money poor.

   ECHO of scott herman and Alan Robins - CHUNKS of sole come off this shoe - it is unreal - retail value was about $140 and it is really inexcusable - you won't be making many TRACKS in these shoes - they are SO incredibly comfortable and well-fitting - it's so frustrating that I had to throw them away - I was leaving sole crumbs everywhere I went!

   These are excellent shoes, being very comfortable and totally waterproof, but now both of the soles have split across form one side to the other under the ball of the foot. The rest of the shoes are perfect. Come on Ecco - make them with a longer lasting sole and I'll buy another pair, but having had this experience I'd be very wary of another pair of Eccos.

   Once upon at time these were the best shoes I have ever owned... the sole lasted years and I finally needed to replace them with a new pair... unfrtunately they seem to chave changed the formula for the rubber sole and moved production outside of denmark.. they now last less then 12months before the perfect shoe upper has nothing but the crumbling remains of a sole.. sad when accounts take over product decisions

   The Track IV boot is great. I use it regularly for rugged bush walks here and in New Zealand. They are highly comfortable and waterproof and the soles, to my mind, demonstrate Ecco's having found the solution to problems with earlier versions of their Track boots. I'm a very happy tramper.
