The Ecco shoe is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. My job requires frequent travel. That means, waiting, standing, walking through airports, walking from hotels to conference centers---in the snow and rain, uphill both ways.” Okay, a slight exaggeration. But I do have to walk a lot. I was convinced by a doctor that I needed expensive special-order orthotics to ease my foot pain. All I really needed was an Ecco shoe. Traveling has been much easier with my Eccos. From now I will echo the praises of other wearers of Ecco. By the way, I too served a mission; I wish I had Ecco shoes then. Now I have 25 grandchildren. It is my hope that I will be able to buy everyone of them who serves a mission a pair of Ecco shoes.

In 2004 I volunteered for a 2-year LDS mission. My grandpa gave me a check and said, "with so much walking ahead of you, you'd better get some nice shoes!" At the department store i told the salesman, "I'm going to wear a suit every day for the next two years in Houston Texas. But not just for meetings: i'll be walking miles a day, biking every day, and running inbetween. I need dress shoes for tropical storms, dirt roads, miles of asphalt, ice, dogs and church. what do you have?" he pointed to his shoes. "I've worn these eccos every day for years, walking 6 miles to work and back." I didnt believe him. the leather and the sole looked so good! "Try some in your size", he said as we headed to the wall of shoes. As i slipped my foot into the new shoe i was instantly transfigured into a blissful state of pure comfort. Angels of Ecco were massaging and caressing me. The heavenly insole was making love to my foot, and before the salesman said a word i demanded, "i'll buy them. i dont care how much they cost. and give me two pairs!" As my 2 years in texas passed, i felt bad for my friends who had to replace their shoes every few months. I was always complimented on my dress shoes, but to me they were much more than fashion. During dozens of gulf rainstorms they had been completely underwater all day; they had been covered in mud and beat up on my mountain bike; they had been in many canine mouths; but no one would ever know. i walked thousands of miles in them and the sole has ZERO wear. I love these shoes. I converted dozens of my fellow missionaries to Ecco shoes, and now at work (in the missionary training center), i still wear my missionary pairs while telling the rookies, "the only thing you need to ask for Christmas is Ecco, the worlds best shoes!" They might deserve to be called more than shoes. I bought a brown pair to enjoy them all over again. Thanks Grandpa. Thanks Ecco. My feet are yours.
