Having battled foot problems for years, Bickerton achieved a career breakthrough in 2005. Shortly after switching to ECCO shoes, the affable Englishman claimed his first PGA European Tour victory at the Abama Open de Canarias. He has been a Tour mainstay ever since, claiming his second win at the 2006 Open de France, finishing the year at No. 20 on the Order of Merit. Bickerton began the 2008 season in top form, capturing the Alfred Dunhill Championship. To date, he has added seven further top-20s.

An ECCO Tour veteran and rising star, Jeppesen recorded three top-25s in 2007, including a seventh place finish at the BA-CA Open. The 23-year-old Swede had seven top-25 finishes in 2006, his first full season on the European PGA Tour, and a tie-for-eighth at the BA-CA Open helped guarantee his Tour card for 2007.

The most recognized and accomplished Asian player on the European PGA Tour, Jaidee fulfilled a dream by competing in the 2006 Masters tournament, thereby becoming the only Thai golfer to have played in all four majors. A unique and inspiring story, the Thai hero picked up the game at age 16, hitting with the discarded head of a five iron tied to a bamboo stick. Following time spent as a paratrooper in the Royal Thai Army, Jaidee turned professional at the comparatively advanced age of 30 and claimed his first Asian Tour Order of Merit title in 2001. In 2004, he became the first Thai to win a European Tour event at the Malaysian Open, a title he defended in 2005. Despite battling injuries, Jaidee’s 2008 season has so far featured five top-20 finishes, including a tie-for-second at the UBS Hong Kong Open.

Arjun Atwal

The first player from India to win a PGA European Tour title and the first player of any nationality to surpass US$1 million in career Asian PGA Tour earnings, Atwal’s success spans the globe. In 2008 alone, the 35-year-old competed in Asia, Europe and the U.S., capturing the PGA European Tour’s Malaysian Open and Nationwide Tour’s Chattanooga Classic. With the latter win, he secured his PGA Tour card for 2009. Atwal took up the game at age 14, learning to play at the venerable Royal Calcutta GC. He eventually moved to America and honed his skills while completing high school. He turned pro in 1995 and soon after recorded his first professional victory.

Bradley Dredge

One of Europe’s most consistent players, Dredge has recorded 40-top-10 finishes and two victories in his 11 seasons on the PGA European Tour. Excelling in team competitions, Dredge has represented Wales in the past seven World Cup competitions, including a victorious 2005 campaign, and won The Seve Trophy in 2005 and 2007. His accomplished amateur career was highlighted by a runner-up finish in The Amateur Championship at Carnoustie in 1992 and a spot on the 1993 Walker Cup squad.
