ECCO takes a social responsibility – and leaves a footprint!

We have always been involved in our community, and in the last 11 years ECCO Walkathon has been the most palpable proof of our commitment. When thousands of people walk for children with heart disease, for life-threatened animals in Africa, or for the education of street children in Kenya and Poland, this does not go by unnoticed.

Social responsibility is not a new initiative for ECCO. Actually, we have employed social responsibility in our company for more than 45 years, way back in 1963 when our founder, Karl Toosbuy, founded ECCO Sko A/S. On the whole, ethical rules and social responsibility were on our agenda long before terms such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) were invented.

Overview

ECCO Walk for Life

ECCO has a strong tradition of thinking and acting ethically. With a charity programme called ECCO® Walk for Life and a proven Code of Conduct as a basis, ECCO engages in a variety of sustainable initiatives.

For ECCO, social responsibility also means maintaining good working conditions for employees across the world and considering the environment when it comes to production. This way, ECCO wants to contribute towards making the world a better place.
