For The 3-year programme, The 2-year programme, Specialist Programme and Design Graduate Programme applications will be accepted from November 1 to January 15 for those applying outside the European Union (For applicants from the United States the application deadline is February 10). Applicants from a European Union country can submit their applications from January 1 to March 15.
Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted within a few weeks of applying. Interviews will be conducted at the beginning of February for those outside of the European Union, and April for those located within the European Union.
The trainee programmes starts in September of every year, with all trainees spending the first month in Denmark.

The 3-year programme: You should have a high school diploma, college experience, or a bachelor’s degree. Those with post graduate education and/or masters degrees will not be accepted into this programme.
The 2-year programme: You should have an academic background of a bachelor’s degree with 2 years working experience, or a master’s degree.
Specialist Programme: You should have a technical or craftsman background. There are no limitations for bachelor’s or masters degrees for this programme.
Design Graduate Programme: You should have an academic background of a bachelor’s degree with 2 years working experience, or a master’s degree. Please include links to your gallery or send us your portfolio.
Trainees will receive a salary throughout the entire programme. ECCO Headquarters will regulate the salary once a year based on official guidelines. You will also be offered fully furnished housing during expatriation. Furthermore, your travel costs in relation to work assignments will be paid for while you are expatriated.
No, ECCO will cover the cost of business related travels. This includes transportation from your home country at the start of the programme, and any travel that is business related during the duration of the programme. All personal travel and trips must be covered at your own expense.
To be an ECCO Trainee, you must be determined, motivated, hardworking, energetic and responsible. You must have a desire to travel, experience different cultures, and be adventurous.
