We aim to increase the awareness of ECCO among consumers and to create reliable sales access through concept sales. This aim will be achieved through further expanding our network of partnership shops.
A key element in developing ECCO’s position is to enhance the visibility of the ECCO brand in the retail segment. We therefore focus on improving concept sales primarily by expanding our franchise network. As part of this strategy, we are working systematically to upgrade and expand our
partnerships with a view to turning retail outlets and shop-in-shops into genuine ECCO shops.
ECCO Shop: A mono-brand shop that only market and sell ECCO shoe products.
Shop-in-Shop: A multi-brand shop that market and sells different shoe brands and has a separate area for presenting ECCO shoes.
Point: A multi-brand shop that market and sells different shoe brands, highlighting the ECCO products on special fixtures.
Factory outlet centre: Sells discontinued ECCO shoes.
In addition to this, ECCO’s shoes are sold through more than 10,000 wholesale shops in around 60 countries all-over the world.

It is ECCO’s firm goal to deliver innovative and high-quality products, which is why ECCO has made the strategic decision to own the full supply chain from cow to consumer. This includes owning tanneries and factories.
ECCO is run by shoemakers and throughout the years we have built a lot of know-how and competences within shoemaking, which is maintained through ECCO’s own production. Our core shoemaking competence is directly injected soles – a unique method which makes ECCO shoes extremely comfortable.
The purchase of rawhides and the tanning itself are done via ECCO’s own tanneries in the Netherlands, Indonesia and Thailand. Therefore, ECCO can guarantee high-quality leather subject to high environmental standards.
