Expatriation
The world is a global market, and as a global workplace ECCO needs/offers expatriation periods. Expatriation is thus a natural and important experience in the EITE programme. You will have several career paths to choose from in an internal organisation like ECCO. Following completion of the EITE programme many graduated trainees feel fascinated and drawn towards a career abroad. Therefore many choose to be expatriated for longer or shorter periods after graduation.
Naturally, you will not possess ten years of experience when you graduate, however, the insight and initiative you have gained from different positions and practice during the EITE programme will be invaluable to all departments in the organisation. Graduates who choose a career abroad often apply based on geographical location since ECCO is represented in more than 68 countries worldwide. However, other graduates may decide to apply for a position based on a more business-specific request. It is very much up to the individual to decide, and often the decision is made in cooperation with ECCO Headquarters in Denmark.
